Ice Storm 2013, originally uploaded by Mic2006.
We seem to be at the tail end of a most disastrous ice storm. The storm began last Saturday and continued on till Monday morning. Tree limbs were tearing from trunks and crashing down all over Guelph, it was like something out of a disaster movie. It was not possible to even drive down the road without having to weave all over to avoid the debris. We lost power for a few hours, but it appears that there will be over 200,000 people in Toronto who will be cold and dark through Christmas.
For us, the sun is shining now and trees are glittering like forests of diamonds.

Hi Mick,
FYI: If your looking for some places in town to take related picture;
The other very cold day I stopped (over lunch hour on a very sunny day) to look at what I thought was a limestone out crop in a stream bed. Turned out to be a limestone retaining wall only. But to get there the parking was on the other side of bigger roadway. So I went under the bridge.
I’m sorry I didn’t have a camera with me since there were some very nice formations, ice flow stone and delicate ice crystals and limestone types 2-4″ (straws, concert bridge) and some flow stone I could see under the ice!
Any pics would look best without foot steps in the snow and some Brocken ice.
So take pic on your way in. Watch out for deep water.
