Swallowed by a whale?
Looks like the gullet of a whale or something like that – poor old Jona being stuck down there after having been swallowed.
Actually, its another picture of the Marmora’s underground. This tunnel stretches under an island that has a sometimes sinking stream on one side and a large body of water on the other. Unusually, during flood conditions, the water washed out from beneath the island as opposed to from the sinking stream back into the island (It was also very cold). Locals had told me of a deep crevice on a nearby property whee there is a stream flowing at the bottom. I have still to explore the area fully – it will take years!
This particular tunnel and its adjoining passages are the focus of this weekend’s upcoming trip. The shape of the tunnel says something about the cave’s morphology. Any idea of what that might be?

I know those caves! I grew up in marmora and spent alot of my youth at callahans rapids and exploring those caves. great place. wish the passages were a bit taller in places. nice cool place to go on a hot summer day.
