This is it, my squishable limit. From my perspective this is as far as I can make it without some excavation. On the bright side, about two hours with a gravel hoe will clear a groove through this gravel bar. Along there I can crawl to a wider passage on the other side. I know this bedding plane shelf connects to the more easily pushed pheratic tube on that I had entered from the other side. Jeff had shouted down that tunnel and I could just hear his muffled bellows.
I had to remove my helmet here, I could not push the tunnel with it on as it would not allow head movement and I was locked into a groove that kept my face pushed into the gravel. Try taking a picture like this, it is a real accomplishment.
