This is “yours truly” wet and muddy and leaning up against the wall behind the waterfall. In a previous post that I had entitled “WOW”, Verniciousknids had made the comment that she to loved waterfalls, ‘their smell, their noise and their grandeur”. I feel the same way, I will always attempt to find my way behind a waterfall. Its absolutly uplifting to crouch back there in the roar. The crazier the better. And yes there is a smell, its really earthy and wet, like you are breathing a fine spray of mud but without finding it unpleasant. In fact you might say that it is a spiritual experience that puts you closer to the elements.
Well put “verniciousknids” my sentiments exactly. I have a really exciting picture that I would like to post but my month’s supply of pictures is already in my Flickr account. In this image that I am unable to post right now I had to swim beneath this insane torrent into a cavity behind a rapid in the middle of a river. It was a little scary at first as you were like a lobster in a pot of foam. The noise was immense and everything was lit by an eerie yellowish glow. Better yet, wait till the picture comes.
