Underground Travel in Ontario

As I am sure you might imagine, winter caving can be a little chilly. Here I followed an open channel in the ice into an underground tunnel system. I call this area “The Resurgence tunnels”. I was unsure as to the water conditions up ahead but was relieved to discover that once further in the stream became quite placid. In a rapid melt this whole crevice fills with water.
