This is the “Right of Way Mine” at the edge of Cobalt, I wandered down here early one morning well before the rest of the town had woken. In my upcoming book, “Rockhounding; An Experience of the North” I have a chapter that details the mineral exploration and collecting possibilities in the area. “Rockhounding” is not to be confused with my book on Southern Ontario’s Limestone explorations that I call “Rockwatching; Adventures Above and Below Ontario”, it is on the bookshelves right now. If you dont have a local bookstore there is always Amazon. see the link on the bar to the right, it will take you straight to my book. If you like exploration and the natural world you will like my book.
